Home Information Packs (HIPs)
From 14 December 2007 every home put on the market for sale must have a Home Information Pack. The Home Information Pack brings together valuable information at the start of the process and includes items such as a sale statement, local searches and evidence of title. The Pack also includes an Energy Performance Certificate for the property. The pack contains a significant amount of complex legal information which is best prepared and interpreted by a solicitor to ensure that it meets legislative requirements.
